KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 \u2014 JomCheck, Malaysia\u2019s first academe-media-civil society fact checking alliance successfully conducted fact checks as an initiative to combat misinformation during Malaysia\u2019s recent 15th General Elections (GE15).<\/p>

Numerous tips were received from Malaysians who submitted their request for claims to be checked and JomCheck will be sharing their experience and insights in doing fact checking during the recent GE15.<\/p>

This sharing session is organised with the objective of convening members to share their experience, and to discuss and deliberate ways forward in addressing disinformation in the country. Speakers include representatives from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, MyCheck Malaysia, MalaysiaKini, Bersih and Arus Academy.<\/p>

The sharing session will be held as follows:<\/p>

Date: 23 February 2023 (Thursday)<\/p>

Time: 11am-1pm<\/p>

Venue: Google Malaysia, Level 20, Axiata Tower, 9, Jalan Stesen Sentral 5, Kuala Lumpur Sentral, 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia<\/p>
