Fun(d) For Life

Shape a Financially-Smart Generation

The Fun(d) for Life Programme aims to shape a financially-smart generation.
This programme consists of an online interactive portal, financial literacy camps and design sprint-like events. These various components of the programme take place throughout the year, across Malaysia, either in person or virtually.

We hope to encourage the next generation to build their dreams, achieve financial independence and build a more financially inclusive world. We believe we can do this by not only providing content for the students but also for those who play key roles in the students’ lives such as their parents and teachers through the Fun(d) for Life Portal, which is a one-stop-portal consisting of interactive elements such as games, videos, infographics and DIY activities.

We have dedicated a section for the teachers and parents. Through the Teachers’ section, we provide lesson plans for primary and secondary school teachers to carry out with their students to improve their financial skills. It is currently tied to 4 subjects: Bahasa Melayu, Mathematics, Pendidikan Islam & Pendidikan Moral.

These lesson plans are aligned with international and national standards including the Ministry of Education’s Implementation Guide for Financial Literacy and Standard Document for Curriculum and Assessment (DSKP), OECD/INFE’s Core Competencies Framework on Financial Literacy for Youth, Sustainable Development Goals by the United Nations and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) by UNESCO.

The Fun(d) for Life Programme is made possible with the support of FWD Takaful, a family Takaful operator in Malaysia.

Since it launched in 2019, the programme has reached more than 3000 students across Malaysia through its various components. To access our financial literacy-themed lesson plans, visit https://fundfor.life/en/guru/.Â
