KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 â JomCheck, Malaysiaâs first academe-media-civil society fact checking alliance successfully conducted fact checks as an initiative to combat misinformation during Malaysiaâs recent 15th General Elections (GE15).
Numerous tips were received from Malaysians who submitted their request for claims to be checked and JomCheck will be sharing their experience and insights in doing fact checking during the recent GE15.
This sharing session is organised with the objective of convening members to share their experience, and to discuss and deliberate ways forward in addressing disinformation in the country. Speakers include representatives from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, MyCheck Malaysia, MalaysiaKini, Bersih and Arus Academy.
