Continuity of Learning For All
Program Lanjutan Komuniti Guru Digital Learning (KGDL+) is an extension of the KGDL online training modules on digital teaching tools. In KGDL+, highly motivated teachers around the country apply to the 5-months professional development programme.
We designed the programme based on a survey with over 1,300 teachers nationwide to determine the digital skills and support needed for them to conduct remote and digital learning effectively. The first group began their journey in June 2020 with 53 secondary school teachers.
We provided skills, mentoring and sharing best practices for teaching in the new normal. Teachers were also trained on storytelling for impact and shared their journey as frontliners in education in #mydigitalmakerfair 2020, the countryâs premier tech fair. Teachers also shared their learning from KGDL+ to their respective schools, districts and states to empower and inspire more educators in engaging learning.
To widen the reach, KGDL+ teachers collaborated virtually to build Bank Sumber KGDLâ a resource bank containing over 1,000 interactive lesson materials for Mathematics, Science, Reka Bentuk & Teknologi, Asas Sains Komputer, Geography and History. These resources include digital question banks, presentation slides, interactive quizzes, and instructional videos that can be accessed for free by teachers nationwide to support their remote lessons.
The programme is organised by PwC Malaysia and Arus Academy with support from JPN Perlis, JPN Sarawak, and teachers from Kedah.
As of Jan 2021, Bank Sumber KGDL has been accessed over 26,000 times.
